The artwork in this digital archive has been sorted into various categories based on subject matter of the pieces, medium of the works, and/or modes of construction. The categories are not definitive and almost all the works blur the boundaries of where it is they best fit. Organizing the creative output of Higher Ground requires flexible categorization, with a sensitivity to how artwork may exist in multiple categories and even redefine these said categories. Regardless, each piece of artwork made at Higher Ground has a place. Congruent to our inclusive mantra, ALL people AND artwork, no matter how different, have a place; ALL belong.
