From the

end of the earth will

I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:2

Welcome Home...

This website is a digital repository displaying an assemblage of the artworks created at Higher Ground.

The artists featured on this website are all beloved members of our communal family.

Embedded within our actions and ideals is an aim to construct a space where we all can escape the social stigmas surrounding HIV/AIDS, a space in which we can all find solace in daily, communal fellowship.

The artworks on this site--a collection of nearly 400 unique pieces varying in subject matter, medium, and emotion--offer narratives and glimpses into the journey that HIV/AIDS has required us to take. Spanning over the last decade, these works of art tell a story of the Higher Ground family and add to the HIV/AIDS narrative, overall. These pieces of art, often created during art therapy sessions at the Higher Ground house, are indicative of a process: a healing process that we have endeavored to partake in together. A range of emotion often saturates every piece.

Browse through the galleries of art created by Higher Ground Artists. Spend time with the stories that you see on each page.
